Revolution controller

The new Nintendo Revolution controller is rightly getting lots of buzz. I think the controller and the way it will influence gameplay is fantastic, both for hardcore gamers looking to play first-person shooters with the responsiveness of the keyboard/mouse configuration of a PC, and for casual gamers wanting to have a virtual fishing rod in their hands. However, the radical design may be commercial suicide. Porting games from others systems to Revolution will be very difficult for developers, and as we all know, it’s not about the technology of the system, it’s about the games you can play on it. Nintendo shouldn’t be alienating more developers from their consoles at this point. They’ve already lost too many to Sony and Microsoft.
